Next Years Car

Having had so much luck with last years 1994 Cavalier I snagged another one. This beast as you can see is purple and isnt in bad shape. Then again its purple, has one flat tire right now and you can smell coolant when you drive it. When it gets a little warmer or I get a little crazier I'll have to see what that issue is.

Now that the snow has melted I ventured out into the driveway to grab a couple of pictures of the current array of race cars. At the front you will see last summers main car - a 1994 Chevy Cavalier and behind that the back up a 1980 Ford Fairmont. I had planned to take the Cavalier to the junkyard prior to Christmas but didnt when it got buried under inches of lake effect snow. The Fairmont will run again but frankly it sucked so it will remain as back up car. Behind that is next years car.

New day and new blog

I used to maintain another blog here on blogspot, but that one has gone off to wherever blogs go when they leave the web, but today is a new day and perhaps the moment for a new blog.

I imagine this blog will be much more sporadic than the last one and I intend to keep it mono-themed and focus purely on my racing exploits. Some of my previous readers will have noticed that those posts at the old location were some of my more personal. For those of you that don't know me and come across me for the first time through this blog , that means that this blog will be all about figure 8 racing, demo scambles and perhaps a smidgeon of demolition derbies and good old dirt track racing.

While I like other forms of racing - NASCAR, Formula 1 etc, etc, anything that costs a lot of money to participate in isn't where its at. I'll stick to buying junky $250 cars, hurl them around in the mud until they are too broke to fix and then haul em off to the junkyard. Much more fun. Anyone got any V6 or 4 cylinder GM junk they want to sell?
