Yet another car

I guess my curent level of posting does qualify as sporadic but there is not that much activity over the winter. I have however acquired another car to play with. The lastest addition is a 1999 Ford Escort ZX2. I had been planning to only run GM junk but this seemed a sensible purchase especially as my girlfriend has the same car and any of those parts that come off this as I prep it I can stash in my barn in case she breaks things on hers.

I acquired it for $150 at a storage lien auction. The owner had not paid for the storage unit so the hammer went down on their car. Admittedly its in pretty rough shape - there arent many panels that dont have a dent and the interior is way beyond detailing. Its so gunky that coins are stuck to the trim. It also presents a new problem in that naturally I dont have a key for it so I will need to work out how to wire in a switch to replace that.

Now I need to get myself organized and start prepping things for the winter season.
